MESSAGE FROM THE EMPEROR

To all Taiifox Imperials: I have a sort of homework assignment for you. Before the end of this month, you are to find a particular obscure movie, and watch it. Then, go to the Imperial blog, and post your opinions.The film refrenced? The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension. Its an obscure film from the 1980's thats a cult classic, and has a surprisingly star filled cast. --Emperor Tiberius I

taiifox imperial writing competition

Contest is open to anybody associated with the Taiifox Empire, either a friend, member, or family member. What is the Taiifox Empire again? The friends you love and trust the most.

Last day for submissions is November 17th.

There are two categories:

--Poetry (poems, songs, haiku)

--Prose (plays, essays, blogs, short stories, research paper{not recommended})

THERE IS NO THEME FOR EITHER CATEGORY, SO SUBMISSIONS CAN BE ABOUT WHATEVER YOU PREFER.

There will be four prize placements total.

Prizes include:

First Prize (2)-- Meal at Taco Bell (both categories), Title of Imperial Scribe (prose), over9000 Cool Points (poetry), Hardcover copy of the recently finished De Niro Code, written by the Fleet Admiral Awsum with Emperor Tiberius, Cpl. Shadee, Dr. Thunder and the G-Train (both categories).

Second Prize (2)-- 500 Cool Points, Paper copy of the De Niro Code.

TO SUBMIT AN ENTRY, EMAIL YOUR SUBMISSION TO taiidanonslaught@gmail.com EITHER IN the text area OR as an attachment.

Your entry/entries will be judged by three of four judges.

Limit of FOUR entries per person, regardless of category.

The entry MUST be an original work by the person submitting it. NO PLAGIARISM.

Entry DOES NOT have to be written specifically for the contest. It can be a previous contest entry, a piece written for school, or who knows, whatever.

You can change an entry any time BEFORE the final submission date, November 17th. After that, what you've submitted is final.

WINNING ENTRIES WILL BE POSTED ONLINE FOR EVERYBODY TO VIEW.

IF THIS IS UNSATISFACTORY, EITHER SPECIFY TO THE JUDGES OF YOUR WISH TO REMAIN UNPUBLISHED, OR POSTED ANONYMOUSLY.
